Day 6 – Banja Luka to Zagreb

The cycling started at approximately 9 in the morning. Soon after leaving Banja Luka, the team were met by dirt roads that in some parts posed a real challenge for the bikers. The route went through small villages at the countryside, with lots of corn fields surrounding the road and cows, chickens and goats passing over it.

The bikers fought their way up the steep hills, bur fortunately the end of a hill often went into a long downhill were the bikers could catch their breaths. During the afternoon the team stopped for a lunch break consisting of pizza and a swim. The lunch break came with a few surprises though when the team was joined by some uninvited guests – snakes.

While getting closer to Zagreb the surroundings became more and more urban. The team reached Zagreb at 5 in the afternoon.
